Our next stop was the
Daly Waters pub, which is an iconic pub in Australia. It’s marketed as the ‘pub
in the middle of nowhere’ which is really is. There is nothing there apart from
a couple of petrol pumps.
The pub is decorated with ‘leftovers’, which is anything people have left at the bar. There were lots of thongs (flip flops), ID cards, bras, license plates and T-shirts hung everywhere.
The pub is famous for its outback food and I can see why. I had a Hilux burger which was bigger than my head. Everywhere you looked there was quirky signs and sayings.
After lunch we drove for a little and stopped at a warning sign for a few photos. There was no fuel for 500km which wasn't too reassuring.
We spent the rest of the afternoon on the bus to Tennant Creek. It is definitely getting colder as we move further south.
We were staying at Eldorado Motel, which was run by a group of Chinese. We had a really nice Chinese dinner and then went to bed,.
