Adelaide Central Market & Festival Centre 13/07/16

This morning was my first proper lie in where I didn’t set an alarm. I woke up around 8.30am which seemed like midday after the past couple of weeks of 5am starts.

I went to breakfast and met with Kayla, Roxy, Kate, Ricky and Andrea for free pancakes. I spent the morning sorting boring things like washing which I needed to do after being on tour.

Roxy, Andrea and I agreed to meet around midday to explore Adelaide. Roxy had some banking to sort out, so Andrea and I ended up wandering around Rundle Mall and Adelaide Central Plaza. We did some shopping and I managed to get a new go pro remote to replace the one I lost in Uluru.

We then walked to the Adelaide Central Markets, which are famous for selling fresh food. We wandered round everything and I bought pretzels, a huge chicken pie to eat for the next few days and loads of aniseed sweets that I hadn’t seen before.
We went back to the hostel to eat lunch and on the way stopped at Peter Pans, which is a backpacker travel agent to book my Great Ocean road tour to Melbourne. They recommended we go to the Winter Market in the evening, which we decided to do.

After lunch, we walked to the Adelaide Festival Centre and saw some of the street art there.

We then went across the river Torrens to the Adelaide Oval.
