Last day in Adelaide 15/07/16

I didn’t set an alarm this morning as I was so tired from the full day at Kangaroo Island. I woke up around 10am and spent the morning sorting my suitcase and catching up on wifi.

I left the hostel around 2pm to head into Adelaide to explore the city some more. First, I went to the post office to get a parcel tube for my Uluru print I had brought in Coober Pedy. I dropped that back at the hostel and then got the free city bus to the National Wine Centre (which this time was open). To get there, I walked through Kadlipina Park, which was really pretty.

I walked around the Centre and tried a few wines which were really nice! I had a Shiraz from Mclaren Vale, and a Pinot Gris and Merlot from Adelaide Hills. I wanted to buy a few bottles but I don’t have the room in my suitcase L

I then and walked through the Botanical Gardens which were really pretty. I managed to speak to mum whilst walking through which was nice. I went into a observatory which had a really cool Rainforest walk.

I then left the gardens and cut through the University of Adelaide campus to get back to the main area of North Adelaide.

From there I went to the National Art Gallery.

I wandered though the gallery for a while. I’ve been really interested in learning about the aboriginal culture here so I was glad there way a massive area for aboriginal art.
I then walked across to the South Australia museum. I wasn’t there very long as they were closing but what I saw was really cool.

I then took a free tram back to the hostel. I had wanted to go to Glenelg, which was supposed to be a really nice beach, but I ran out of time. In hindsight I should have got up earlier but I needed the sleep. I ended up going back to the hostel and catching up with blogging. I repacked my bag, ready to leave Adelaide in the morning and then went to bed.
