We stopped to take some photos outside the Oval and then went to a little coffee shop on the inside
We didn't realise you could go in to the Oval, but found our way in when Andrea was looking for toilets! We went past the Australian Sports Hall of Fame, and then noticed there were players on the pitch and TV cameras everywhere.
As Roxy is German, and Andrea is Swiss, none of us had any clue what was going on. It was only when kids started turning up in autographed shirts we realised that there was an open practice event going on for the Adelaide Crows, one of Australia's top AFL teams. They were playing a few games and then doing singing sessions. We watched them play for about an hour and I attempted to learn some of the rules. We wanted to stay longer but we also knew we wanted to go to the Christmas Markets. On the way out, we saw the team mascot and got some cheesy photos with the playing kit.

After the oval, we headed back across river to the Christmas Market that the girl from Peter Pans had recommended. There was a ski lodge and mulled wine stall, with a reindeer sleigh and giant snow dome. It was really strange to see in July but it definitely felt cold enough.
We walked around the market and then decided to go ice skating on the outdoor the plaza.
After the market, we decided to walk back through Rundle Street. We took some photos and then went back to the hostel.
I met up with Ricky and Kate, and a new English girl called Zoe who would be joining their tour group to Melbourne. I tried some of Kate’s ‘fucking good port’ which lived up to its label.
We hung out in the lounge area for a bit and then said goodbye. Everyone left at the hostel, apart from Koosje, would be leaving to continue to Melbourne in the morning, so I wouldn’t see them again :( After that I went to bed as I had to be up early for my Kangaroo Island tour.
