Palm Beach (Summer Bay) with the Taylors 31/07/16

We had to be up reasonably early today as we were driving to Palm Beach, which is also known as Summer Bay. It’s the filming location for Home and Away and I can see why because it was absolutely gorgeous.

We had brunch in a great place called the Boathouse which is also known as the Pier Diner and is used a lot for filming. We saw ‘Al’s bait shop, which is also famous from Home and Away.

We walked along the beach and then did the Barrenjoey lighthouse walk to the top of the headland. It was really steep but the top gave a gorgeous views of both sides of Palm Beach. I climbed out onto the ledge which gave an amazing view! We stopped at loads points along the way to take photos. 

We then climbed down and had to go back to Manly around 12ish to drop Maddie at the ferry. She was flying back to New Zealand in the afternoon as she had to be at Uni the next day :(

We got to the ferry terminal a little early so we went to Max Brenner, which is a chocolate café. They served loads of different chocolate drinks in cute ‘hug mugs’, with no handles. I got a marshmellow hot chocolate and Andy brought us praline chocolates to try.

I then said goodbye to Maddie which was really sad, and went back to Jenny and Andy's apartment.
