The Blue Mountains- The Three Sisters 06/08/16

This morning James was taking me to see the Blue Mountains. It was around an hour and a half drive from Sydney. I was still exhausted so slept for almost the entire way.

We drove through Katoomba and managed to park quite close to the Three Sisters rock formation in Jamison Valley.
On our walk from the car we stopped at an Aboriginal Centre which had a really cool painted motorbike.
We then went to see the Three Sisters from a few viewing platforms, including the Queen Elizabeth lookout, where the queen visited the Blue Mountains in 1954.

We decided we would walk through the Blue Mountains National Park, down to the Three Sisters bridge where you could cross to stand on one of the sisters rocks. On the way we stopped at a few more viewing platforms. The valley was stunning!

To get down we had to climb down the ‘Three Sisters Giant Stairway’. There were so many steps and they were really narrow so it was quite difficult when you had people trying to cross both ways.
I was so glad we walked down to the bridge. The views were amazing and it was really cool to walk out onto the actual Three Sisters Rock.

James and I then climbed back up the stairs, and drove to Scenic World, where there were loads of different attractions and rides you could do in the mountains.
